MY ROLE
As a UX/UI designer, I was responsible to conduct the initial discovery and visual research to uncover main pain points and define the workflow of the entire project.
I also was responsible for the visual design, design system and navigation of the website to define better ways to simplify the user experience around data consumption and interaction.

PROBLEM STATEMENT
How can we improve user satisfaction and reduce the frequency of site abandonment by improving the overall user experience and navigation?
The client submitted several issues that affected the efficiency of their website, causing problems reported by customers, particularly in navigating and finding the information they needed to achieve their goals. One of the main concerns the client wanted us to improve was the high abandonment rate caused by the great difficulty in searching for pages and information on the site. In addition, the website did not have a modern design in line with industry standards and was not fully responsive on various devices, affecting the overall user experience.
We re-imagined the information architecture and overall site structure of the Serie A website to ensure visitors follow a clear and logical journey when browsing. By reordering and reorganizing the pages, I created a user-centric system of menus and content. We established straightforward, consistent links between pages to guarantee a uniform navigation experience. These improvements increase content discoverability across the site and help users achieve their goals more easily.

GOAL
Our aims focused on building a user-oriented website, designed for editorial and technical staff as well as the support team.
The key focus areas in achieving the initial objective were the following:
Navigation: make the site straightforward and intuitive, ensuring easy access to news, videos, documentation, and archive/history.
Content & Context: deliver relevant information to stakeholders, enabling them to view editorial updates, rankings, statistics, official transfer-market news, events, and initiatives from sponsors and partners.
Interface: modernise the site’s design following industry standards, improving visual appeal and usability with a clean, minimalist aesthetic, per the client’s preference.
Competitor Benchmarking: research best practices to stand out positively within the industry.
Bounce Rate Reduction: significantly lower high bounce rate by optimising landing pages, making content more relevant, and ensuring a smooth, engaging user experience.
Performance Optimisation: improve website performance for faster load times, thereby enhancing overall user satisfaction and engagement.

Maintain UI consistency and product scalability
To ensure a consistent and intuitive visual language across all user touchpoints, I developed a custom design library a living toolkit of styles, components, and UI patterns that acted as the single source of truth for the project. Rather than being a backstage asset, this library served as the foundation of the entire experience, enabling smooth flows and cohesive screen designs throughout the product.
For the final handoff, I delivered the fully structured design library to the development team, ready to be integrated directly into their workflow. This helped guarantee that the design vision was translated seamlessly into the final product down to every pixel and supported alignment between design and development during implementation.

An history section to keep present the memory of the history of serie A
The Serie A league is the third most watched league in the world, made up of a centeraria history characterized by important trophies, international and national players who have made the history of the various clubs unforgettable. Therefore, it was decided to include a section on the site to give voice to this history and to bring back past memories to nostalgic fans.

Exclusive video contents to engage the fan
To strengthen the emotional bond between fans and the league, a new section of the site dedicated to Video and Extra Content has been designed. A true dynamic hub designed to offer immersive experiences beyond the pitch: highlights, exclusive interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, original formats and iconic Serie A moments.
The goal? To increase fan engagement by making the site not just a source of information, but a daily destination to experience football passion in a new, interactive and engaging way.
This section has been designed to be easily navigable, mobile-first and integrated with social media to facilitate sharing and multiply interactions

Since I was a kid, I have been fascinated by design: I have found solutions to everyday problems and sketched ideas on paper. As a result, I immersed myself in design from the very beginning of my studies. At university, I focused on digital graphic design, learning a user-centered methodology. Understanding everyday problems and designing services that improve people's lives has always been my main goal. My attitude enabled me to graduate with honors from NABA, one of the best design universities in the world, with a Master's degree in Advertising's Communication.
